For over fifteen years, designer and artist Yana Molodykh has shaped interiors through craft, proportion, and atmosphere. Her work draws on classical form while remaining firmly contemporary, with Ukrainian traditions expressed through material, precision, and craftsmanship. Vintage furniture, modern design, and contemporary art come together in layered, lived-in spaces shaped by everyday life rather than display.
Each project develops through close dialogue with its inhabitants, leaving room for intuition, spontaneity, and individual character. An interior for enjoying life is Yana’s ultimate goal, and it is what guides her work above all else.
She often insists that the process of creating a space should not be taken too seriously. Play, humour, and lightness are essential, allowing interiors to take on the character of the people who live in them. Only then does a space become one of strength, joy, and genuine pleasure.
Yana’s work has been widely published, including in Making Space: Interior Design by Women, which brings together 250 of the most influential women designers from the early 20th century to today. Her projects have also been featured in AD, Elle Decor, Interior Design, Vogue Living, and Dezeen, among others.
